American Odyssey
American Odyssey is a three volume saga of the First Americans. Among the peoples who moved over the American continents at the end of the last Ice Age, were people who created the culture known to archaeology as Clovis. This culture, known principally from stone tools, covered most of North America and is distinguished by a large, lanceolate, fluted point often made from especially beautiful forms of chert. The story follows the adventures of two young people who, in defiance of their elders, flee to be together as man and wife. Their peoples are in danger from invasion by a warlike, slave-taking people moving into Central Alaska.
